Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Remote Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator to manage daily dispatch schedules, coordinate drivers, and ensure timely deliveries from a remote setting.

You will utilize GPS tracking, dispatch software, and cross-functional teamwork to optimize routes, resolve issues, and reduce costs while maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, dispatching, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, fleet management systems, and GPS tracking technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with South African transportation regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch schedules for a fleet of vehicles and drivers, ensuring efficient route planning and timely deliveries.
• Act as the primary communication channel for drivers, providing support, updates, and instructions.
• Monitor real-time fleet movements using GPS tracking systems and address operational disruptions.
• Manage and update logistics documentation, including manifests, delivery records, and driver logs.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to meet client needs and resolve logistical challenges.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in dispatch and logistics operations to reduce costs.
