Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Dispatcher & Fleet Assistant to join its transportation division. You will coordinate driver schedules, manage dispatch activities, and ensure efficient, compliant operations from a remote setting.

You will be the main contact for drivers, management, and customers, handling GPS-tracked routes, logs, and issue resolution with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching or logistics coordination in transportation.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, assigning routes and tasks to drivers based on operational needs and efficiency.
• Monitor driver locations and progress using GPS tracking systems, providing real-time updates and support.
• Act as the primary communication link between drivers, management, and customers regarding shipment status and any arising issues.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and dispatch records.
• Assist in managing driver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to working hour regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues that arise during transit, ensuring minimal disruption.
