Qualifikationen

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or equivalent with clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years verifiable experience in long-haul trucking.
• Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers.
• Strong knowledge of federal and provincial transportation regulations, including hours of service.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading and vehicle inspections.
• Excellent navigation and route planning skills, comfortable using digital mapping tools.
• Reliable internet connectivity and smartphone for communication and reporting.
• High level of responsibility, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the specified remote locations.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan and execute efficient routes, utilizing GPS and navigation software to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Securely load and unload cargo, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the integrity of the goods.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks, electronic or paper, detailing driving hours, rest periods, and delivery information.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams regarding route progress, delays, or any operational issues.
• Perform basic roadside repairs and emergency roadside assistance when necessary.
• Adhere to strict company policies on safety, security, and ethical conduct.
