Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking a Remote Building Maintenance Coordinator to oversee maintenance operations and vendor coordination for properties, with a focus on sites near Soweto. This fully remote role involves scheduling, dispatching, and issue resolution from a home office.

The candidate should have a background in facilities management, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with maintenance software.

Qualifications

Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related coordination role.
Strong understanding of general building systems and maintenance procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks remotely.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and remote communication tools.
Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repair services for various building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
Dispatch and manage third-party vendors and contractors for on-site work orders.
Monitor service requests and ensure timely and effective resolution of maintenance issues.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, invoices, and vendor performance.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize future issues.
Communicate effectively with property managers, vendors, and internal teams regarding maintenance status.
