Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Exploration Geochemist for a globally recognized minerals leader. Design sampling programs and interpret soil, stream sediment, rock and drill-core data to identify high-potential targets.

The role requires 5+ years in geochemical exploration, a Master’s/PhD in Geochemistry, and expertise in ioGAS, GCDKIT, and GIS. Work across time zones in a fully remote setup with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Geochemistry, Geology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geochemical exploration, preferably with base metals, precious metals, or critical minerals.
Proficiency in geochemical data processing and visualization software (e.g., ioGAS, GCDKIT, GIS software).
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, multivariate statistics, and GIS applications in geochemistry.
Experience with various geochemical analysis techniques and their application in exploration.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Familiarity with global mineral deposit models and their geochemical footprints.

Responsibilities

Design and implement geochemical sampling programs for exploration phases.
Analyze and interpret geochemical data from soils, streams, rocks, and cores using statistical methods.
Develop and validate geochemical exploration models and target strategies.
Collaborate with field geologists and project managers to provide guidance.
Oversee flow of geochemical samples from field to lab.
Perform QA/QC on geochemical data for accuracy.
Prepare detailed geochemical reports and target recommendations.
Stay updated with advancements in geochemical exploration techniques.
