Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Environmental Services Coordinator to oversee cleaning and sanitation operations for client locations across South Africa. This fully remote role requires exceptional organization, strong communication, and knowledge of environmental services best practices.

You will coordinate schedules, monitor performance, and support on-site teams remotely to ensure consistent service quality nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental services, facilities management, or cleaning operations, preferably with supervisory or coordination responsibilities.
• Experience coordinating remote or distributed teams.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning and sanitation principles, equipment, and supplies.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in commercial/industrial contexts.
• Excellent digital communication and collaboration skills using virtual platforms and PM software.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage cleaning schedules and staff deployment for various client sites remotely.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for on-site cleaning teams, providing guidance and troubleshooting via digital channels.
• Monitor cleaning performance metrics and quality standards through remote reporting tools and client feedback systems.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate procurement and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Develop and implement standardized cleaning procedures and training materials for remote rollout.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in environmental services.
• Liaise with clients and account managers to ensure service expectations are met and issues are resolved remotely.
• Maintain comprehensive digital records of operations, supply chain activities, and team performance.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, new cleaning technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of the environmental services division.
