Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Cleaning and Sanitation Operations Coordinator to oversee sanitation operations across multiple sites, supporting teams in Tembisa, Gauteng. This fully remote role requires excellent communication and digital project management to ensure high cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations coordination or facilities management with a focus on cleaning and sanitation.
• Ability to manage tasks and teams remotely using digital platforms and communication tools.
• Excellent understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices, health regulations and safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Autonomous, proactive and capable of workload management.
• Experience in training or supervising staff is a plus.
• Residence in a location suitable for remote work and communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage cleaning and sanitation remotely across multiple sites.
• Develop and disseminate SOPs for cleaning and disinfection.
• Monitor the performance of on-site cleaning teams through digital reporting and remote check-ins.
• Assist in procurement and logistics of cleaning supplies and equipment for field teams.
• Analyze sanitation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and risks.
• Provide remote training and support to cleaning staff and supervisors.
• Act as primary contact for sanitation queries from field operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Generate reports on sanitation performance and resource utilisation for senior management.
• Facilitate communication between remote management and on-site teams supporting Tembisa, Gauteng.
