Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Business Architect to join a distributed global team. You will design enterprise-level architectures aligned with client objectives and drive operational excellence from anywhere in South Africa.

The role requires deep knowledge of enterprise modeling (TOGAF/ArchiMate), strategic planning, and virtual stakeholder engagement, with leadership of remote teams and architectural initiatives across organizations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in business architecture or strategic planning.
• Experience designing and implementing complex business architectures, preferably in a consulting context.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or ArchiMate and process mapping.
• Strong communication and virtual collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and document enterprise-level business architectures, including capabilities, processes, organizational structures, and information flows.
• Collaborate with business leaders and IT stakeholders to translate goals into architectural requirements.
• Develop roadmaps for business transformation initiatives aligned with architectural principles.
• Evaluate technologies and solutions supporting the desired architecture.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and build consensus on architectural decisions.
• Ensure architectures are scalable and aligned with long-term objectives.
• Contribute to development and governance of architectural standards.
