Placements24 is seeking a Remote Energy Systems Analyst to join a distributed team across South Africa. You will analyze large energy datasets, develop insights, forecast demand, and support strategic direction of the energy portfolio.

Working remotely, you’ll collaborate with operations, engineering, and finance, stay informed on industry developments, and drive efficiencies and cost reductions in energy production and consumption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Economics, Data Science)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL; knowledge of energy market dynamics is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Analyze large energy datasets to identify insights and trends
• Develop predictive models for energy demand forecasting
• Prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders
• Monitor energy systems performance and identify efficiency improvements
