Hire Resolve is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Officer for a fully remote position, serving across SA operations. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs with emphasis on sanitation and public health protocols.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of EHS leadership, deep knowledge of SA legislation, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical guidance for diverse teams. Remote work, ongoing training, and growth await.

Formación

• 6+ years of progressive experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management with focus on sanitation/public health/facility hygiene.
• Proven experience developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs and policies.
• In-depth knowledge of South African EHS legislation/regulatory frameworks (OHSA Act, NEM:A Acts).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficient in using digital collaboration tools, EHS software, and standard office apps.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
• Bachelor’s or higher in relevant field; SACPCMP/SAIOH certifications are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures with sanitation and hygiene focus across the organization.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and audits using data, virtual tours, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with national/local EHS regulations including public health and safety.
• Investigate EHS incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training on EHS and sanitation for remote and on-site staff.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes in EHS and sanitation.
• Collaborate with operations, facilities, and HR to embed EHS in daily practice.
• Maintain comprehensive EHS records and training logs in a secure digital environment.
• Provide expert guidance to management on EHS-related matters.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of the EHS management system.
