Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of an e-commerce platform from concept through launch. You will manage end-to-end projects, work with product, design, and marketing, and drive agile processes for distributed teams.

The role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, and a track record in delivering complex web projects. A fully remote setup with a focus on South Africa provides flexible work arrangements and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, IT, marketing or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in project management with 3+ years in e-commerce or digital platform development.
• Proven experience leading Agile remote web development projects (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management of e-commerce platform development and feature enhancements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, and marketing to define scope, requirements and timelines.
• Manage agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews for remote teams.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress against milestones, and manage budgets.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication among all stakeholders using virtual collaboration tools.
• Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) and oversee deployment of new features and platforms.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the e-commerce user experience and business processes.]
