Placements24 is hiring an enthusiastic E-commerce Marketing Coordinator & Social Media Assistant in Soweto, Gauteng. You will support digital marketing efforts, manage social content, and contribute to the online presence of our client, a growing online retailer, remotely.

You'll assist with campaign execution, content creation, and basic analytics, while learning SEO/SEM practices and working with a supportive, mentorship‑driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; digital marketing certifications are a plus.
• Some experience or demonstrated interest in social media management and e-commerce marketing.
• Familiar with major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok).
• Canva and basic photo editing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and remotely with good time management.
• Basic knowledge of analytics tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing e-commerce marketing campaigns across channels.
• Schedule and publish social content, maintain brand calendar.
• Monitor engagement and respond to comments professionally.
• Support creation of graphics, copy, and basic video for social and email.
• Analyze social metrics and report on engagement and reach.
• Update the website with product listings and banners.
• Conduct market research on trends and competitors.
• Provide admin support and coordinate projects.
• Learn and apply SEO/SEM best practices under supervision.
• Engage with online communities to foster brand interactions.
