This senior role requires strategic direction, virtual leadership of field teams, and strong technical expertise in oil and gas drilling.

Responsibilities include developing plans, supervising operations and budgets, ensuring HSSE compliance, and mentoring drilling engineers in a remote environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive drilling operations experience with management responsibilities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Drilling Operations Manager to oversee drilling and completion operations for their projects, with a focus on assets in the Mahikeng, North West region. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for ensuring all drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company policies. As a remote position, you will manage teams and operations virtually, providing strategic direction and operational oversight to field personnel. This role demands strong leadership, extensive technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex projects from a distance within the Oil & Gas industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic drilling and completion plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee the execution of all drilling operations, managing contractors and service providers.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures.
• Manage drilling budgets, cost control, and resource allocation effectively.
• Monitor operational performance, analyze KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to drilling engineers and supervisors, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements
