Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Drilling Fluids Engineer to support drilling operations worldwide. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing drilling fluid systems and collaborating with drilling engineers and rig crews to meet operational requirements.

This is a fully remote opportunity with significant autonomy. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering with 7+ years of field experience and strong analytical and remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a drilling fluids engineer with hands-on field experience.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, properties and additives.
• Familiarity with mud logging data and its interpretation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design drilling fluid programs tailored to well conditions.
• Provide real-time technical support to drilling operations.
• Monitor fluid properties and performance; adjust as needed.
• Analyze drilling fluid samples and laboratory tests.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable fluid practices.
