Placements24 is seeking a skilled Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst to join the security team in a fully remote role. You will manage DLP systems, develop and tune policies, and investigate data-security incidents to protect sensitive information.

The ideal candidate has strong technical data-security background and keen attention to detail, with knowledge of GDPR/POPIA. Responsibilities include collaborating with IT, legal, and compliance, staying current on threats, and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience implementing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, POPIA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and policies.
• Monitor DLP alerts and investigate potential data exfiltration incidents.
• Develop and refine DLP rules and policies to align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure effective data protection strategies.
• Conduct regular reviews and tuning of DLP systems to minimize false positives and optimize detection.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging threats and trends related to data leakage and insider threats.
