Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our fully remote team. You will embed security across the SDLC, automate security controls, and ensure security is a core part of DevOps practices in a distributed environment.

You will work with development and operations to build secure, scalable applications, integrate SAST/DAST/IAST, manage secrets, and promote a security-first mindset while collaborating remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps with a security focus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and security scanning tools.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security controls and tools into the CI/CD pipeline to enable automated security testing (SAST, DAST, IAST).
• Develop and maintain secure infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and manage container security solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes security).
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in code and applications.
• Monitor application and infrastructure security in production environments and respond to security incidents.
• Promote a security-first culture and provide guidance on secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles.
• Manage secrets and sensitive data securely throughout the development and deployment process.
