Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join their innovative team, embracing a completely remote work model. This role is pivotal in integrating security practices seamlessly into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. You will automate security testing, manage security infrastructure, and collaborate closely with development and operations teams to build and deploy secure applications efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Integrate security tools and practices into the CI/CD pipeline, including static and dynamic code analysis (SAST/DAST), dependency scanning, and container security.
• Automate security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks throughout the development process.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for security controls and environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve security issues identified in applications and infrastructure.
• Implement and manage security configurations for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Monitor security posture and provide timely alerts and reporting on security risks and compliance status.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a dedicated DevSecOps role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with security testing tools (e.g., SonarQube, OWASP Dependency-Check, Clair) and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with security best practices for application development and cloud infrastructure.
