Placements24 is seeking a Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and feature definitions for cutting-edge DeFi products. This remote role requires deep DeFi knowledge and collaboration with engineering, design, marketing, and legal teams.

You will shape product direction, perform market analysis, and translate strategies into detailed requirements and user stories. Remote-friendly across South Africa with base in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management, with a focus on DeFi or blockchain products.
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, protocols (Uniswap, Aave, Compound), and related tech.
• Experience in market analysis, user research, and product roadmap development.
• Familiarity with smart contract development and blockchain architectures is desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for DeFi products.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify opportunities and unmet needs.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and product specifications.
• Prioritize product features and backlog based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to oversee product development and ensure timely delivery.
• Work with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
• Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features.
• Develop a deep understanding of tokenomics and incentive mechanisms within DeFi protocols.
• Engage with the DeFi community and stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.
