About the Role Our client, a rapidly growing innovator in the Crypto & Blockchain sector, is looking for a visionary Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Product Manager to join their expanding team. This is a remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will be responsible for defining the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for our client's cutting-edge DeFi products. This role requires a deep understanding of the DeFi landscape, including lending protocols, decentralized exchanges, yield farming, and tokenomics. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and legal teams to bring innovative DeFi solutions to market. We are seeking a strategic thinker with a proven track record in product management, ideally within the blockchain or financial technology space. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of finance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, based out of Mossel Bay, Western Cape, ZA, but with the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for DeFi products.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify opportunities and unmet needs.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and product specifications.
• Prioritize product features and backlog based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to oversee product development and ensure timely delivery.
• Work with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
• Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features.
• Develop a deep understanding of tokenomics and incentive mechanisms within DeFi protocols.
• Engage with the DeFi community and stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product management, with a strong focus on DeFi or blockchain products.
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, protocols (e.g., Uniswap, Aave, Compound), and their underlying technology.
• Experience with market analysis, user research, and product roadmap development.
• Familiarity with smart contract development and blockchain architectures is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in product management roles within the Western Cape, ZA region or similar tech hubs is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
