Job summary

TechnoServe Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to support regional projects by tailoring TechnoServe’s MEL technology approach to project needs. You will build dashboards, perform analyses, and deliver insights to aid decision-making and reporting for poverty reduction initiatives.

The role emphasizes user-centered design, effective communication, and collaboration with global teams. Remote work is preferred with possible international travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field with relevant experience in data management and analytics.
• Experience with MEL tech, data platforms, and dashboards is preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork and travel readiness are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop MEL tech for new projects with project teams and Senior MEL Manager.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training to project teams on MEL tech.
• Backstop project MEL staff in data management, data quality, and privacy.
• Verify key performance results and implement data quality checks.
• Manage Google Team Drive and archiving with MEL Managers.
• Refine MEL tech standards and best practices with Global Impact Team.
• Participate in MEL tech community of practice to grow talent.
