Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Data Scientist specializing in Financial Modeling to join our fully remote team. You will build predictive models for strategic financial decisions, working with large datasets and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, expertise in Python or R, and experience with ML libraries.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of data science experience with a focus on financial modeling and predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy advanced financial models using ML and statistics.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and anomalies in financial performance.
• Collaborate with finance to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Design and run A/B tests and experiments to evaluate model performance.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
• Stay up-to-date with advances in data science and financial analytics.
