Placements24 is seeking a skilled Paralegal to provide essential support in corporate law matters on a contract basis. This fully remote role allows work from any location and focuses on legal research, document preparation, and managing corporate records for multiple clients.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Paralegal experience in corporate or commercial law, strong governance knowledge, and proficiency in legal research and MS Office.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a recognized Paralegal qualification or equivalent legal studies.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, focusing on corporate or commercial law.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and statutory requirements in South Africa.
• Proficiency in legal research and standard office productivity software.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work remotely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with corporate secretarial duties is advantageous.
• Reliable internet connection and a conducive remote work environment.

Aufgaben

• Conduct legal research on corporate law statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing corporate documents, including resolutions, minutes, and agreements.
• Manage and maintain corporate filings and statutory registers.
• Organize and prepare documentation for board meetings and shareholder communications.
• Support attorneys in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documentation.
• Assist with compliance monitoring and reporting requirements.
• Provide administrative support for the legal department.
