Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Construction Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of infrastructure projects across South Africa. Lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, and remote team coordination to deliver on time, within scope and budget.

You will manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards, and communicate progress to stakeholders. PMP is highly desirable and experience with remote collaboration tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with infrastructure project background.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects from initiation to completion and lifecycle management.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
• Oversee project execution, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving issues promptly.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, ensuring performance and compliance with contracts.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Effectively communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and project teams.
• Control project costs and manage the change order process efficiently.
• Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, leveraging technology for seamless remote communication and coordination.
• Conduct virtual site inspections and progress reviews as required.

• Proficiency in construction management software and collaborative online platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently from a remote location.

• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are highly desirable.
