Job summary

Employmate Limited in South Africa is seeking a Regulatory Compliance and Operations Specialist to support regulatory compliance and financial crime prevention in a fully remote role, aligned with UK business hours.

The role involves client onboarding, CDD/KYC/EDD checks, Source of Funds and Source of Wealth verification, sanctions/PEP screening, and ongoing monitoring while collaborating with the Compliance and Operations teams to strengthen controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services compliance, operations or onboarding.
• Proven ability to conduct CDD/KYC and EDD checks.
• Knowledge of sanctions screening and adverse media checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist MLRO in maintaining compliance framework.
• Support regulatory requirements and financial crime procedures.
• Perform CDD/EDD, Source of Funds/Wealth verification, sanctions and PEP checks.
• Monitor transactions and escalate suspicious activity.
• Coordinate onboarding and verification for new clients and partners.
• Provide guidance on onboarding and ongoing monitoring to internal teams.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation across systems.
