Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive outreach strategies to engage target communities, schools, and local leaders. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, beneficiaries, and volunteers through regular communication and engagement. Organize and facilitate virtual information sessions, workshops, and events to raise awareness about our programs and services. Identify and recruit participants for our educational initiatives, ensuring equitable access and support. Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling outreach materials, including newsletters, social media content, and online presentations. Track and report on outreach activities, community feedback, and program participation metrics using our CRM system. Provide ongoing support and guidance to community members involved in our programs. Stay abreast of community needs and trends, adapting outreach efforts accordingly.

Requirements

Proven experience in community outreach, social work, education, or a related field. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Demonstrated success in building and nurturing relationships with community stakeholders. Proficiency in using virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and digital collaboration platforms. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive and self-motivated attitude, comfortable working independently in a remote setting. Passion for social impact and a commitment to empowering disadvantaged youth. A valid South African driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for in-person meetings (post-pandemic, as deemed necessary). Relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences, education, community development, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
