Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer for a fully remote position focusing on the Polokwane region. You will develop outreach strategies, organize virtual events, and foster communication with community leaders to address community needs.

You will work autonomously using digital tools, driving engagement initiatives to support social impact in Limpopo. The role offers remote flexibility, growth opportunities, and a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in community outreach or a similar role.
• Excellent virtual communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic community outreach and engagement plans.
• Organize and facilitate virtual community meetings, workshops and information sessions.
• Build relationships with community leaders, stakeholders and residents.
• Gather feedback to inform program development and service delivery.
• Create engaging content for digital platforms to communicate updates.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of engagement activities.
