Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our client’s team remotely, based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will design, build, and maintain secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You’ll develop security strategies, enforce policies, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 while collaborating with development and operations. Strong cloud security and CI/CD automation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines for cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments of cloud deployments and suggest remediation strategies.
• Implement and manage cloud-native security controls and services (e.g., IAM, KMS, WAF).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure deployment of applications in the cloud.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud security architectures and processes.
• Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Respond to security incidents related to cloud infrastructure.
