Placements24 is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join a fully remote team delivering infrastructure projects, including work in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design, plan, and develop roads, water systems, and drainage using CAD/3D tools, producing drawings, calculations, and reports.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 6+ years of design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or Bentley software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PR Eng registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil design engineering.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit or Bentley software is expected.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical principles, and transportation engineering.

Responsabilités

• Design and plan civil engineering infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, drainage, and water systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD and other design software.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Perform engineering analysis and calculations for structural integrity and hydraulic performance.
• Review and approve construction drawings and methodologies.

• Solid understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical principles, and transportation engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
• Experience with infrastructure projects in Upington, Northern Cape, or similar arid/semi-arid regions is a plus.
