Placements24 is seeking a Chiefs Mine Geologist to lead global resource development initiatives in a fully remote role. You will oversee exploration, resource modeling, estimation, and reporting across multiple projects, ensuring data integrity and strategic alignment with business goals.

You will mentor geologists, guide technology-enabled workflows, and collaborate with planning, operations, and stakeholders to optimize mineral resource utilization.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geology or related Earth Science.
• Minimum 15 years in mineral exploration and mine geology with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with geological modeling and resource estimation software (Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, Micromine).
• Ability to lead and mentor remote teams and deliver compliant resource reports.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage all aspects of mine geology, including exploration, resource modeling, and estimation.
• Develop and implement geological strategies for resource discovery and delineation.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of geological data and resource models.
• Oversee the preparation of compliant resource and reserve reports (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Collaborate with mine planning, operations, and exploration teams to integrate geological information into decision-making.
• Mentor and develop geological staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Stay current with advancements in geological software, modeling techniques, and exploration technologies.
• Provide expert geological input for feasibility studies, due diligence, and strategic planning.
• Represent the company on geological matters with internal and external stakeholders.
