Placements24 is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Designer for a fully remote position. You will develop conceptual and detailed designs for chemical plants, translating client requirements into safe, efficient engineering solutions in a distributed team.

You will design PFDs, P&IDs, perform sizing, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while collaborating across disciplines and preparing comprehensive technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process design for chemical plants or related industries.
• Proficiency with process design software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and detailed P&IDs.
• Perform equipment sizing and selection (pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, separators).
• Conduct preliminary hazard analyses and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Create mass and energy balances for proposed processes.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines in a virtual environment.
• Prepare design reports, specifications, and technical documentation for client review.

Key Responsibilities
