Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Broadband Network Specialist to design, implement, and manage a high‑performance broadband network for a growing South African client base. You will architect scalable solutions, oversee hardware deployment, and proactively optimize performance from a fully remote position.

The role requires 5+ years in broadband design with expertise in BGP/OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, and hands-on Cisco IOS/NX-OS and Juniper Junos.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of broadband network design, implementation, and management.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs and QoS.
• Hands-on with Cisco IOS/NX-OS and Juniper Junos.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable and resilient broadband network solutions, including access and core networks.

Requirements

• Familiarity with fiber optic technologies and DSL/PON access networks.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
