Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Brand Assistant to support the marketing team in a fast-moving consumer goods company. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere in South Africa, assisting Brand Managers with campaigns, research, and daily brand activities.

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with up to two years of marketing experience, strong organizational skills, and a keen interest in consumer behaviour and marketing trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of experience in marketing, brand management, or a related field (internships count).
• Strong interest in FMCG industry and brand marketing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Brand Managers in the development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and reports.
• Help manage social media content calendars and engagement activities.
• Coordinate with external agencies and internal teams on various brand projects.
• Track and report on marketing campaign performance and key brand metrics.
• Assist with budget tracking and invoice processing for marketing activities.
• Organize and maintain brand assets and collateral.
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing department.
