Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Backend Blockchain Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable blockchain backend systems. The role focuses on building APIs, integrating with smart contracts, and ensuring secure, efficient distributed services for a global client base.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development and at least 2 years in blockchain, with strong skills in Node.js, Go, Python, or Java, and experience with SQL/NoSQL data models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• At least 2 years of experience working with blockchain technology and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Understanding of blockchain concepts, including consensus algorithms and cryptography.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, especially in a remote setting.
• Ability to support development efforts for regions like Upington, Northern Cape, ZA.
