Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Aviation Software Developer to join a distributed engineering team. The role focuses on flight control, simulation, and data analysis software developed from a home office in South Africa.

You will design, implement, and optimize high-performance applications in C++, Python, or Java, collaborate with aerospace engineers and product managers, and contribute to API and microservice backends while staying current with aviation technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven Software Developer experience with a strong project portfolio.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, or C#; familiarity with Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions for aviation applications.
• Collaborate with aerospace engineers and product managers to define requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable code in C++, Python, or Java and maintain APIs/microservices.
• Implement algorithms for data processing, simulation, and real-time control systems.
• Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Stay updated on aviation tech trends and contribute to architectural decisions.
