Placements24 is seeking a remote Aviation Software Developer to design, build, and deploy scalable fleet management software for airlines worldwide. You will work with a distributed team to deliver backend services, data analytics, and APIs that improve efficiency, safety, and operational insights.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development, strong Java/Python/C#/Go skills, experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern API design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years as a Software Developer with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Go.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of microservices and API design (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Experience with Git and collaborative development.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy robust software solutions for aviation fleet management platforms.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases supporting complex workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and features.
• Implement data processing and analytics pipelines for flight data and metrics.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of all components.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot defects and drive improvements in development processes.
• Stay updated on aviation tech trends.
