About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing international aviation consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Aviation Safety & Compliance Specialist to join their virtual operations team. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, contributing to the enhancement of safety management systems and regulatory compliance for a diverse global client base.

You will be responsible for conducting safety audits, developing safety policies, and ensuring adherence to international aviation regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation safety principles, a proactive approach to risk management, and exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams across different time zones. As a remote-first role, strong self-discipline and time management are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote audits and assessments of client safety management systems (SMS) against international standards (e.g., ICAO Annex 19, EASA SERA).
• Develop, review, and implement aviation safety policies, procedures, and manuals tailored to client needs.
• Analyze safety data, incident reports, and hazard identification records to identify trends and recommend preventive actions.
• Provide expert guidance and support to clients on regulatory compliance, certification, and safety performance monitoring.
• Facilitate safety training programs and workshops for client personnel through virtual platforms.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving aviation regulations and safety best practices globally.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports, safety recommendations, and compliance documentation.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding safety and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development of new safety service offerings and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation safety management, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
• In-depth knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles and implementation.
• Familiarity with ICAO standards and recommended practices, and major regulatory frameworks (e.g., EASA, FAA).
• Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack) and digital documentation platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
