Job summary

Our client in the automotive sector seeks a skilled Remote Automotive Technical Writer to produce clear, accurate documentation for automotive products and services. In this fully remote role, you will create user manuals, service guides, technical specifications, and online help content.

Your ability to translate complex technical information for end-users, technicians, and internal teams will be essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the automotive or related technology industry.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English grammar and style.
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency with technical writing tools and software (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar).
• Experience working with source control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, edit, and maintain a variety of technical documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
• Develop content for different platforms, such as print, web, and in-app help systems.
• Ensure documentation adheres to company style guides, terminology standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating reviews and approvals.
• Update existing documentation to reflect product changes, software updates, and new features.
