Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Automotive Project Manager in South Africa to lead major development initiatives from a fully remote setup. You will plan, execute and deliver complex automotive projects on time and within budget while coordinating a dispersed global team.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in project management, a engineering or related degree, PMP is a plus, and hands-on experience with Jira, Asana or MS Project.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; PMP a plus.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience, automotive sector preferred.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects from initiation to closure.

Responsibilities

Define scope, goals, deliverables, and resource needs with stakeholders.
Develop detailed plans, timelines, and budgets; manage execution.
Coordinate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and marketing remotely.
Identify risks and dependencies; implement mitigation strategies.
Track progress, report milestones, and align with strategic objectives.
Lead and facilitate remote project meetings with clear communication.
