Job summary

Placements24 is sourcing a Remote Automotive Data Scientist to analyze large datasets from connected vehicles and manufacturing. You will apply statistical methods, ML, and visualizations to extract insights, predict trends, and support data-driven decisions across the business.

You will collaborate with international teams, build predictive models, run experiments, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining strong data governance and privacy.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with real-world problem solving.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Strong SQL and database management experience.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in automotive data or related domain is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and remote-collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, preprocess large automotive datasets from multiple sources.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
• Design and run A/B tests and experiments to evaluate new features.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards for diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing to define metrics and analytic approaches.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote knowledge sharing.
• Ensure data privacy and security compliance in analyses.
• Present findings to senior leadership to drive data-driven improvements.
