Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support a global aviation operation from Midrand. The role focuses on airworthiness and continuous operation through remote oversight, diagnostics, and guidance to on-site teams.

You will interpret maintenance logs, regulatory requirements, and use EAM/CMMS platforms to document findings, troubleshoot remotely, and help improve maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Proficient in remote diagnostics and digital tools for maintenance.
• Experience with EAM/CMMS and digital documentation platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of aircraft systems using advanced software.
• Review maintenance logs, manuals and regulatory requirements for compliance.
• Provide remote technical guidance to on-site teams during maintenance events.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate records in the asset management system.
• Identify recurring issues and propose long-term improvements.
