Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specializing in avionics to join our client in Midrand. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain avionic systems to ensure airworthiness and optimal performance.

The role requires a valid AME license with an avionics endorsement and at least five years of hands-on experience. You will work with cutting-edge technology in a supportive environment, coordinating with flight crews and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with an Avionics endorsement recognized by SACAA.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft avionic systems maintenance.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, avionics troubleshooting techniques, and interpretation of manuals/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionic systems including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot avionic faults using specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
• Repair or replace faulty avionic components and conduct functional checks to verify airworthiness.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate with flight crews to resolve issues.
