Placements24 is seeking a Senior AI Ethics & Compliance Officer to lead ethical guidelines and robust governance across AI initiatives. This remote role requires navigating AI regulations, fairness, transparency, and accountability while collaborating with a global team of AI professionals.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Law, Ethics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or ethics, with a significant focus on technology, preferably AI.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning principles, and their ethical implications.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks governing AI and data privacy.
• Proven ability to develop and implement robust compliance programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Experience in stakeholder management and engagement.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical technology practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive AI ethics policies and governance frameworks.
• Conduct ethical impact assessments for AI systems and projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant national and international AI regulations and standards.
• Provide expert guidance on ethical considerations related to AI development and deployment.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams to embed ethical practices throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver training programs on AI ethics and responsible innovation.
• Monitor emerging trends and best practices in AI ethics and compliance.
• Advise leadership on ethical risks and opportunities associated with AI technologies.
• Establish mechanisms for transparency, accountability, and fairness in AI systems.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders on AI ethics and governance matters.
