Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Agronomist Consultant to support agricultural producers across regions, starting with the George area. This role focuses on optimizing yields, soil health, and sustainable farming through remote guidance from a home location.

You will diagnose issues using plant science, soil management and agri-tech, develop data-driven recommendations, and deliver remote consultations, reports and crop management plans to diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Agronomist, with focus on crop consulting.
• Proven ability to interpret complex agricultural data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis, communication, and remote collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience implementing sustainable agriculture principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote analysis of soil reports, crop health data, and satellite imagery to identify issues and opportunities.
