Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Systems Analyst to join a fully remote team near Mahikeng. You will analyze large agricultural datasets, build models to simulate system performance, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for a dispersed client base.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in agricultural data analytics, strong programming in Python/R, and deep knowledge of crop science and farm management.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field as listed.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, data analytics, or modeling within agriculture.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, simulation modeling, and data visualization tools.
• Strong programming skills (Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent understanding of agricultural systems, crop science, and farm management.
• Strong communication and remote-presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to agricultural production and farm operations.
• Develop and maintain mathematical and statistical models to simulate and predict system performance.
• Identify KPIs for agricultural operations and monitor progress against metrics.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize crop yields and resource allocation.
• Collaborate virtually with farm managers, agronomists, and tech providers to implement improvements.
• Prepare reports and visualizations to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
