Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Agricultural Data Analyst to join the operations team in a fully remote capacity. You will transform raw agricultural data from sensors, satellite imagery, and farm systems into actionable insights to improve efficiency.

The role demands 5+ years in data analysis/science, strong skills in Python/R, ML, SQL/NoSQL, and the ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (data science, statistics, agriculture).
• 5+ years of data analysis/science experience, preferably in agriculture.
• Proficiency in Python and R for data processing.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and big data technologies.
• Strong statistical modeling, ML, and data visualization skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large agricultural datasets from diverse sources.
• Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze yields, soil conditions, and weather.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Identify KPIs and monitor farm operational efficiency and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with agronomists to translate data insights into practical farm management strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in agricultural technology and data analytics.
