Placements24 is seeking an Academic Advisor to support online students in Kimberley. You will guide course selection, academic planning, and connect students with resources to promote success in a remote learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or student support in higher education.
• Experience working with online students and familiarity with LMS.
• Strong understanding of academic curricula and degree requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of remote students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic advising to online students regarding course selection, program requirements, and academic progress.
• Assist students in developing personalized academic plans to meet educational and career goals.
• Monitor student academic performance and intervene when at risk.
• Connect students with campus resources such as tutoring, career services, and mental health support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in the student information system.
• Stay informed about university policies, procedures, and program updates for online students.
