Placements24 is seeking a dedicated 5G Network Implementation Specialist in Durban to oversee deployment, configuration, and testing of next‑gen network infrastructure. You will perform site surveys, install base stations and core/transport elements, and ensure timely, quality rollout.

The role requires practical experience with mobile networks (5G/LTE) and a solid understanding of RAN, Core, and Transport concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years hands-on experience with mobile network deployment (5G/LTE).
• Familiarity with RAN, Core Network and Transport network principles.
• Proficiency with network analysis/testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission 5G network elements (base stations, core network, transport).
• Perform site surveys and document deployment details.
• Conduct testing and troubleshoot to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with field engineers and managers to resolve issues during rollout.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures on site.
• Stay updated on 5G technologies and best practices.
