Placements24 is seeking a Wireless Network Specialist in Durban with deep 5G knowledge to design, deploy, and optimize advanced wireless networks. You will work on cutting-edge RAN and core components, ensuring high performance for diverse telecom customers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications and 4+ years in wireless networks with 5G focus, plus familiarity with RF planning and network analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 4+ years in wireless network engineering with 5G focus.
• Strong understanding of RAN, core networks, and transmission systems.
• Experience with RF planning tools and network analysis.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and performance analysis tools.
• Scripting for network automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy 5G RAN and Core network elements.
• Monitor network performance and optimize throughput.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless issues with rapid resolution.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with vendor partners for integration.
• Stay updated on 5G, LTE, and Wi‑Fi advancements.
