Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate nursing care plans, allocate and delegate nursing activities, and monitor patients’ clinical status to ensure safe, effective care.
• Manage medication administration, emergency equipment, emergency responses, wound and continence care, and support safe patient discharge processes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, contribute to clinical decision‑making, and maintain accurate clinical reporting.

Requirements

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse, with proven experience managing medically complex patients in a high‑demand clinical environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, nursing leadership, delegation, communication, and rehabilitation‑focused care planning skills, with the ability to influence interdisciplinary decision‑making.
• Passionate about rehabilitation and patient wellbeing, committed to professional ethics, teamwork, continuous learning, adaptability, accountability, and calm decision‑making under pressure.
