Job summary

Switch Recruit (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Manager to lead the regional sales team for international freight forwarding and logistics solutions. You will drive a robust sales pipeline, report on forecasts, and align with national campaigns to achieve revenue goals.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years in international freight forwarding, with 3–5 years in senior sales leadership, and a strong industry network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Marketing, Logistics or related discipline highly beneficial.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience within international freight forwarding, with 3–5 years in a Sales Manager or senior sales leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a strong regional sales pipeline and deliver against aggressive sales and revenue targets.
• Lead, manage, coach and develop Business Development Managers across the region.
• Identify and attract experienced business development talent.
• Take ownership of regional sales pipeline reporting, forecasting and accuracy.
• Support national sales and marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Manage the consolidation, quality control and submission of monthly sales reports.
• Coordinate customer, group and sales events.

Duties:

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Marketing, Logistics or a related discipline highly beneficial.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience within international freight forwarding, with at least 3-5 years in a Sales Manager or senior sales leadership role managing a regional and/or national sales team.
• A proven track record of achieving sales growth and revenue targets within freight forwarding is essential, together with a strong existing network within the freight-forwarding and logistics industry.
